While headlines on tech news sites will still read something like “Outsourcing” way into the late quarters of 2016, IT outsourcing is not necessarily a new concept, it fact there exists proof that companies had started looking outside their doors for services in the nature of information technology. Although a lot of IT outsourcing deals have turned out to be beneficial to many companies, the need for reliability is always being trampled on with relationships that end with loose ends.
Once in the collective business strategy, there was a feeling that IT could be done without, that it was a cost that would otherwise be spared through outsourcing. Then came the era we are in, where IT is a strategic and not an option for development. Coming into the mid-1980s, many companies started to outsource their work as a way to cut costs and increase their incomes and efficiency by using technology.
With years, IT outsource vendors had the need to open offices and it resulted in some success by enabling companies to get in touch with a lot of talent inexistent before IT outsourcing. However, people has now tired of this and the cost of IT outsourcing have increased considerably and quality of talent has been lost gradually.
On one side, companies which outsource their work did not get their willing with large and small companies outsourcing vendors. While smaller consulting vendors just have limited talent and end up with projects that weren’t used the qualified resource, big companies seem to keep on the high billable taxes and for most of the work they use junior talent. On the other side, companies end up spending more money than the necessary. There are many reasons for this and some of them are most consulting firms have many workers than they actually need. Another reason is that the need to maintain US-based sales teams and expensive infrastructures.
In 2016, Companies are not using freelancing platform because of many reasons. The first is that most of the projects require more than one resource and someone have to manage it. Normally, freelancing platforms do not offer access to a team. The second is that it’s very difficult to manage freelancers all around the world because of factors such as time zone, culture and the challenge of communication, they become in a big struggle and just one and other company get the success with it. The third reason is that the companies can overcome the first two reasons but they’ll not be confident security and quality of work they’re getting. And finally, there’s no reliability of the provided talent by system ranking.
To ensure that enterprises adopt freelancers, new platforms are creating and providing more trusted ways and reliable platforms. This can be reached by certificating project managers in the US who can compete to manage the project work. The customer’s choice would then be a project manager who links talent of manage and have the set of tools needed to do their work.
